Google Adsense : The most used Advertisement Network
General Introduction:
Google Adsense, is the most reputed Advertisement Network. It delivers contextual, targeted ads for your site. Its well known for its timely payouts and high Cost Per Click advertises. Advertisers use Adwords (Advertising Program from Google) to market their site through adsense. And when a visitor click their ads from you site, you got paid.
Adsense is started back in April 2003 after Applied Semantics (The Original Ad Network) was bought by Google in $102 Million and now have more than 1 million publishers. They have some strict Terms of Service (TOS) and Policies. People often complain that they got banned for violating TOS and claim that they have done nothing against TOS which is, in most of cases, not true.
Forgot to mention, unlike other Pay Per Click (PPC) ad network, Adsense allow sites with low or even 0 traffic ultill the site itself complies with their policies.

Click Adsense’s Terms of Service and Program Policies for more details, however, here are a few of them in short.
- You can place up to Three Ad units, Three Link Units, Two Search Boxes and Three Referral Unit in a single web page.
- You can not put Ad Codes in a page having no content or very less content.
- You can not encourage people click on ads by headings like “Click on the Ads” or “Visit Our Sponsors”, however, headings like “Advertisement” or “Sponsored Ads” are ok.
- You can not use copyrighted materials as content unless you own it.
- Porn, Adult, Hacking, Gambling, Tobacco, Alcohol and few other sites are not allowed to use Adsense.
- Sites showing Google ads may not contain pop-ups or pop-unders that interfere with site navigation, change user preferences, or initiate downloads.
