Adsense Referrals Finally Retired

Just as Google said, Referrals are finally retired from Adsense. You can no more find the link to generate referral ad codes in your Adsense SetUp Tab and the adspace for referral ads on your site became blank.

According to Official Adsense Blog, The notice was first announced on June 30, 2008 by Mr. Anuj Srivastava, AdSense Product Marketing in Adsense Blog. Since then the panic started among publishers who was earning quite well from referrals.

This was bound to happen as Google lunched its another capmaign Google Affiliate Network after they acquired DoubleClick, one of the leading leading network of affiliate programs.

Though adsense have withdraw the referrals from Adsense, you will still get your earnings from referrals. The deadline for the conversion of referrals is set to the las week of September, 2008. You can find some QnA about this event in Official Adsense Blog.
