A Small Guide for want to be Bloggers

I have noticed that all the newcomers in Webmaster World asking in many Webmasters Forums that how can they make money out of Internet to support their pockets. So, heres a little guide to make them start with Blogging.

Choosing A Niche:
A Niche is the topic on what you want to start your blog. You can always research a little on it. But. I’d recommend you to start with the topic in which you have experience and some skills. It can be Cooking or Technology or Whatever.

Setting Up A Blog:
Setting up a Blog is not that hard as you are thinking. You can go with self hosted Blogs where you have to invest money to buy Domains and Hostings and install the CMS (Wordpress, Jhoomla, MovableType etc). Or you can just use free blogging platforms offerd by Google (Bloggers) or Wordpress. You don’t have to worry about installing the CMS or maintainance there, though it have some limitations. I’d recommend the second option as you are just starting with blogs.

Once you are done with all that, you are now ready to post. Make some decent posts before you start monetizing the blog. Always remember, ‘Content is the King’, so, make your posts Unique. This will not only help you to gain good ranking in Search Engines but also help to monetize the blog.

Monetizing:
Theres a lot of companies offering Advertisemnts for Blogs, but, most of the bloggers uses Adsense, Kontera, Text Link Ads, Chitika, TNX and Backlinks as these can be put together in a single web page and do not distract revenues from other resources. I recommend to use Adsense, Kontera and Text Link Ads at first. Its difficult to get through the Application Part of Adsense (assuming you are new to this) as every application is reviewed manually. So, make you blog’s look decent and full of information.

Traffic and SEO:
The most important part is getting traffic. Without this, nothing will work. The easiest (and the hardest) way to get free and organic traffic is from Search Engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. For this, you have to optimize your blog for Search Engines (SEO). Check some previous posts to learn how to SEO a blog. Before doing any SEO, your blog should be indexed in Search Engines. Either the Search Engines will automatically index your blog or you can manually add them.

Now yu are all set, keep adding content in your blog and doing SEO to get traffic. and always keep in mind that “Theres no alternative to Hard Work and Dedication”.
